Save the Date: Third Annual V-Day Event at BWH, Feb. 9

The third annual event honoring V-Day will take place on Friday, Feb. 9, 12:30-2 p.m., in Bornstein Amphitheater. V-Day is a celebration of female empowerment and is held to recognize, and begin to remedy, issues of violence against women and girls. The BWH event will occur in concert with hundreds of other V-Day events taking place nationally and internationally.

This year's event will focus on screening for domestic violence in medical settings, with the goal of presenting clinicians with information they can use to deliver the effective and compassionate care when caring for a patient who has experienced domestic violence. This event will include a survivor speaker, role-play scenarios of provider-patient encounters and a discussion of ways to employ trauma-informed care in these instances.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are requested, but not required to attend.
