Dear Colleagues,

As a nation, we are in a watershed moment, with people speaking out against instances of discrimination, sexual harassment and assault, and injustice. We are aware that – despite our desire to foster a culture that reflects our values of integrity, collaboration, inclusion, professionalism and empathy – the Brigham is not immune. Everyone has a right to feel safe and comfortable at work, and we have zero tolerance for any behavior that jeopardizes that right.

If you feel you have witnessed or been subjected to inappropriate actions in the work environment, please contact Marian Cheevers, your supervisor, or your Human Resources (HR) business partner. If you are unsure who your HR business partner is, you can find out by calling 617-582-0100.

A year-long construction project began in October to relocate the BWH helipad from the roof of the Connors Center for Women and Newborns to the roof of the Tower. This move will accommodate the future Boston Children’s Hospital tower project and facilitate future BWH mid-campus development. The project will require the temporary shutdown of two service elevators at a time over the next several months during construction. Because priority in the elevators will be given to patient transport during this time, staff are encouraged to seek alternate routes and use the stairs when going fewer than four floors, if possible. Here’s what you need to know about the project and how the construction period will affect Tower elevator usage.
